Michael Hanley's Family Funeral Home is proudly based in Forbes, NSW and has been serving families with compassion, dignity and respect since it was founded in 1975 by Michael and Brenda Hanley.
Michael was deeply passionate about serving his local community. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he led a community campaign to restore and maintain the Forbes Cemetery. Through weekend working bees, Michael and a dedicated group of local volunteers spent countless hours mowing, slashing and clearing the grounds, transforming the cemetery into a peaceful and respectful place where families could honour and remember their loved ones.
The untimely passing of Michael in 1996 was a devastating loss for our family. Despite our grief, we remained committed to preserving the values and standards he established, continuing to care for every family with the same compassion, professionalism and personal service that defined his life's work.
Today, Michael Hanley's Funeral Home is proudly owned and operated by his son, Jason Hanley, alongside his wife Samantha and their children, Jake, Brooke, Courtney and Maggie, continuing the Hanley family's commitment into the third generation.
Over 50 years ago, our family-owned and operated business has grown into one of the Central West's most trusted and respected funeral homes. We continue to provide personalised funeral, cremation, memorial & monumental mason services throughout the Central West, remaining dedicated to the values of compassion, dignity and respect that have guided our family since 1975.
