Michael Hanley’s Family Funeral Home is based in Forbes, NSW and was founded in 1975 by Michael and Brenda Hanley.

Michael was passionate about serving his local community. In the late 70’s and early 80’s Michael was the instigator of a campaign to clean up the Forbes cemetery. This involved weekend ‘working bees’ where Michael and local volunteers worked tirelessly for many hours mowing, slashing and spraying to make the cemetery a valuable asset to Forbes where loved ones can lay in peace.

The untimely death of Michael in 1996 was a devastating for our family but we have carried on his legacy with respect and dignity.

Michael Hanley’s Funeral Home is now run by Jason Hanley. From humble beginnings, our family owned and operated business has grown and flourished and is now well-established. We conduct funerals throughout the Central West. Our funeral home also has its own Chapel and Crematorium where family cremations are carried out.
