Founded in 1975 as Michael Hanley & Son, Michael Hanley’s Funeral Home has proudly served families throughout the Central West for more than five decades. Today, I am honoured to continue our family's legacy as the owner of the business, working alongside my wife, Samantha, and our four children.

Taking ownership of the funeral home is both a privilege and a responsibility that I hold with great pride. As the second generation of our family to lead the business, I remain committed to upholding the values of compassion, dignity and professional service that have been at the heart of Michael Hanley Funeral Home since its establishment.

My journey in the funeral industry began at an early age. Having grown up within the family business, I conducted my first funeral at just 15 years of age. Following the tragic passing of my father in 1996, I stepped into his role and dedicated myself to supporting families through some of life's most difficult moments. Since then, I have been privileged to help countless families, ensuring each farewell is conducted with care, respect and understanding.

In addition to my experience as a funeral director, I am also a qualified monumental mason. I am proud to have reintroduced monumental masonry services to the business, allowing us to provide families with complete support when creating personalised and meaningful memorials that honour the lives of their loved ones.

Following a four-year absence while family estate matters were finalised, I was delighted to return as the new owner of Michael Hanley Funeral Home and continue serving the community that has supported our family for generations. Together with Samantha and our children, we are committed to ensuring that Michael Hanley Funeral Home remains a family-owned and family-operated business, offering personal service and compassionate care to every family we are privileged to assist.
